olaronke akinmowo is an interdisciplinary artist, set decorator, yoga teacher, cultural worker, and mom from Brooklyn, New York. She is also the Creator & Director of The Free Black Women's Library, a public art project that centers and celebrates the voices of Black women in literature. This biblio-installation features a collection of over one thousand books of varying genres written by Black women. The library travels throughout New York City and is activated by workshops and conversations on writing, race, spirituality, culture and gender.
