Anjali is a family physician and DJ who is passionate about innovative models of health/healing, decolonizing medicine, and collective liberation. She is the Executive Director of Casa de Salud — a culturally humble, anti-racist, and accessible nonprofit model of care that includes bilingual primary care, acute care, queer/transgender care, harm reduction services, treatment for opioid addictions, counseling, health coaching, acupuncture, reiki, massage, and indigenous based healing circles. The clinic also works with 30 health apprentices a year — primarily young students of color who are interested in healing/healthcare fields — and prepares them for careers and new possibilities in health/healing.

Anjali also works in the emergency room of a small rural hospital in the Navajo Nation, two hours west of Albuquerque. Anjali is a 2016-2019 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar; a Next City Vanguard 40 under 40 Urban Leader 2016; and a member of the Creating Health Collaborative - an international collaborative of health innovators who are invited to share their ideas and visions of health beyond healthcare. In 2007, Anjali co-founded CureThis — an online platform for discussions among healthcare providers and healers looking to build new models of care. In 2010, Anjali served as a lead coordinating member of the Peoples’ Movement Assembly for Healing Justice and Liberation, at the United States Social Forum in Detroit, Michigan. She also co-coordinated the medic response team of volunteers at this event attended by over 18,000 people. In 2011, she co-coordinated the first Healing Justice Track at the Allied Media Conference.
